Carrot Autumn King 2 Vita Longa offers you a large, stump-rooted main crop carrot which means they are ready for picking from September and right through winter to as late as February. Excellent for giving you long lasting supplies of carrots when your body craves the nutrients this variety is rich in.
Take advantage of the fact that carrot Autumn King 2 Vita Longa stores well in crates in a cool place like a garden shed. Equally you can leave these carrots in the ground throughout winter where any frosts will increase their sweetness should we have a particularly cold one.
Rest assured that this carrot puts up a fight against carrot root fly – a pesky pest that can devastate a carrot crop. This means you can look forward to a successful crop whether you grow them direct in your vegetable patch or in containers.
With a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit this variety stands out to the experts as a particularly suitable crop for home-growing. Certainly a variety that can increase yields in your kitchen garden during winter.
