Growing Calendar for Buxus Cone 3L Potted
Delivery: Early November to Late February
We love the versatility that comes with Buxus cones. Whether that is decorating a front door, adding character to your patio or balcony, or even adding some special charm to your allotment space.
Packed full of dense healthy leaves, with a unique cone shape protruding from your container. A Buxus cone is a perfect choice to add some character and personality to your home. Rich evergreen foliage provides you with a consistent look all year round. And a strong tolerance to -5°C (23°F). It has the ability to stand up and survive the British winter.
When planting Buxus trees, they are thankfully forgiving to where they are planted whether that is full sun or partial shade. Treating your soil pre-planting will provide your Buxus cones with a great medium to grow in. Each autumn top dress with some John Innes no 2. rich compost to revitalise your Buxus cones and keep them in great shape.
Prune to maintain your cones and keep them looking the best they can. At Marshalls we recommend pruning twice a year in the first year. Gradually moving on to once a year preferably in August. The Buxus cone is forgiving with regards to pruning and will have the ability to grow back fully.
