With a hundred of so potential sprout to harvest for every plant you make huge savings when buying seeds and sowing yourself. Avoid heavy shopping bags and unnecessary supermarket costs simply by growing your own.
Take advantage of this great-value Duo Super Saver Pack which contains:
1 x Pack Brussels Sprout Bright F1 Hybrid - Early to mid-season sprout, maturing just under six months after transplanting. This variety produces smooth, round sprouts which hold well and dependably from October to the end of November, showing good disease resistance.
1 x Pack Brussels Sprout Trafalgar F1 Hybrid - British-bred and heavy-cropping variety which you can harvest from November and right up to February to see you through the winter.
These Brussels sprout varieties have each been selected for their superb flavour. They're also an excellent source of vitamin C and are packed full of vitamin D, folic acid and are high in antioxidants.
We recommend you ensure the soil is firm and fertile to grow tightly packed sprouts. Dig in plenty of well-rotted manure or compost such as Westland Jack’s Magic as early as possible to give the soil the maximum time to settle. Do this in March or April before planting in May.
Germination was excellent, plants are growing well.
