Growing Calendar for Broccoli Extra Early Rudolph - Plants
Delivery: Despatched from Early July
A high-yielding, highly vigorous broccoli variety of F1 generation which will begin to crop in early autumn and last in the ground right up to February, improving with each winter month. You then have a winter-long supply of home-grown vegetables when other crops are scarce.
On well-sized plants tender spears are produced in big numbers. Sprouting broccoli is so good for you - it is brimming with vitamins. Nutritionists even regard it as a superfood, high in cancer-fighting phytochemicals.
You receive your plants as young specimens full of growing potential. Once you plant in July every young broccoli plant puts on lots of leaves with support the purple florets. We recommend you plant in rich soil full of organic manure and humus so your plants get a good initial boost.
