You receive your plants as young specimens full of growing potential. Once you plant in July every young broccoli plant puts on lots of leaves with support the purple florets. We recommend you plant in rich soil full of organic manure and humus so your plants get a good initial boost.
Looked sad on arrival. Most have now improved, but some didn't make it.
Plants had a slight yellowing of the leaves and a bit droopy - i suppose that happens when you order these small plants by post. They were however very generous with the quantity and there was more than double what I had ordered so will have spares for the rabbits on my allotment. They do seem to be ok now that they are in the ground.
Plants look a bit tired and yellow on arrival but I potted on for a few weeks and they are now fine and planted Planted these last year and had a great crop right through to April this year
Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
