The story so far...It came as rather a shock when in September 2010 I had a call from the council asking if I was still interested in an allotment. I had been on the waiting list for 4 years and had completely forgotten all about it.

Heat-Prepared Onions ResultsI’ll be planting Hytech F1 and, of course Marshalls New Fen Globe - it was so timely to receive such a stunning photo from one of our customers, Sean Higgnett last week, showing how well his onions had stored over winter.

Pats Plot 19th MarchI seem to be on my hands and knees a lot lately trying to pull out all the little seedlings of Speedwell that seeds itself everywhere - it’s a pretty little blue flower but I really don’t want it all over my borders - it’s rampaging over the lawn too!

Pats Plot 13th MarchIt was a nice fine day on Sunday so I finished off weeding the vegetable beds they weren’t too bad really just a bit of chickweed to pull out. I then raked them over ready for sowing and covered one of them with a couple of layers of fleece to warm the soil up a bit.
