Growing Calendar for Blackcurrant Ebony - Plants
Delivery: Early November to Early May
Ebony is a variety of Blackcurrant that, when fully ripe, is sweet enough to eat straight from the bush.
Unlike the other varieties that we offer, which are superb culinary varieties and great for puddings, pies and preserves, Ebony is a true dessert variety.
The currants are big and early ripening and are produced on moderately vigorous bushes that have an open, slightly spreading habit. So, easy picking, plus easy eating!
