Bamboo - Phyllostachys Spectabilis 2L Potted Shrub

  • Catalogue Code 5140-5578
  • Pack Contents: 1x 2L Potted Bamboo

Get hold of this hardy bamboo that tolerates our variable UK winters. Provides you with a great hedge or screen to keep your garden private and provides a windbreak for low-growing crops and bedding.

Bamboo is attractive, tall, clump-forming evergreens with grooves on alternate sides between the nodes, and usually have two leafy branches at each node.

Best grown in full sun or partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. When growing in a container, grow in loam-based compost and feed with a balanced liquid feed on a monthly basis during the growing season.

How you receive your plant

You receive your bamboo plant in a 2 litre pot in a strong cardboard box delivered to your door. The pot is wrapped in a damp hessian or a polythene wrap so that the soil is kept humid and moist, perfect for the roots to stay healthy while transported from our nursery to your door.

Can’t plant straight away?

You can keep your bamboo plant in its original pot temporarily so long as you keep the soil moist and the plant in a well-ventilated position.

Look to planting up into its permanent position within 5-7 days.
