Get hold of this collection of three chilli varieties Hot Thai, Lancer and Spangles and you can be enjoying the flavour and intensity of chilli peppers all year round.
Easy to grow on a windowsill or balcony, this collection provides the perfect ingredients for hot dishes and salads throughout the summer. Even if you don’t have a garden you can grow these chillies successfully on a balcony or small courtyard.
Hot Thai - A compact and productive Capsicum annuum cultivar which is highly ornamental. The hot chillies are excellent for drying and for chilli powder. One of the best chillies for growing in pots as the plants branch very freely, and naturally develop an attractive shape which displays the ripe chillies to great advantage.
Awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit in 2013.
Lancer - The chilli for making your own chilli powder! This versatile chilli will grow to 90cm if grown in a large pot or greenhouse but will also make perfectly neat 45cm tall plants if grown in a 2 litre pot so perfect fit for the windowsill.
This chilli will keep grownig and cropping throughout the winter. The chilli is very easy to harvest. Pull the fruit with your fingers and it slips off the plant when ripe.
With a smoky flavour the chilli is delicious eaten straight from the plant and perfect for drying and storing long term as a ground powder Simple and easy to apply to your dishes! what more could you ask?
Spangles - Multi-coloured cooler-heat fruits in whites, reds and purples make this variety both productive and decorative, and really vibrant. Excellent to add to salads and salsas for vibrancy and colour.
Gradually acclimatise young plants to their outdoor position by bringing indoors overnight and taking outdoors by day, for roughly a week after you receive your young plants. Pot on into larger containers once the roots start to show on the side of the root-ball.
Feed with high potash feed such as sulphate of potash once flowers have set to fruits and stake if needed as plants become tall.
I bought two lots of plants at the same time . The first lot arrived in good condition and are doing well. The second order arrived and the plants were positively wilting and looked unwell. I planted them and they are all but dead.
plants look very healthy - hoping for many chillies in the future!
Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
