Wine-coloured buds unfurl to reveal fragrance purple/pink flowers. An excellent variety to grow with other wallflowers in the Sunset series. Consider planting in containers or indeed bordering the vegetable patch for welcome colour and bringing in pollinators.
These plants are ideal to go into the soil from autumn so that their roots establish over winter, which will encourage lots of flowering stems to emerge in spring and flower that bit earlier than spring-planted specimens.
Arrive to you as 10 bare root plants, wrapped in a brown paper bag to protect the roots, and keep plants sturdy. These come in an envelope or small box to further protect the plants.
On arrival unwrap the packaging and steep the roots in water. Ideally, you will want to plant immediately into containers or flower beds, firming the plants into the soil. Keep the soil moist throughout the winter, but not waterlogged.
If you need to wait before planting, cover plant roots with moist soil and place plants in a light, airy location. Place plants in their permanent position within two to three days.
