Growing Calendar for Wallflower Plants - Dwarf Mixed - Bare Root Plants
Delivery: Early October to Early November
Nothing beats this old spring favourite. Wallflowers produce big clusters of colourful flowers and are perfect for planting in any sunny spot in the garden, but look their very best when planted casually in dry walls or rockeries. On top of that, they’re scented and bee-friendly too!
Planting bare roots in autumn is the traditional way, because they produce much stronger, more floriferous results earlier in the spring.
Plant the bare roots into weed free, well cultivated soil in sun or part shade. Space plants around 15-20cms apart. Keep moist until established.
These looked dead from the start & although we planted them straight away, about half of them are already brown & withered. The others appear to be ok, but not yet convinced that any of them will survive!
Very poor plants, after complaint about first batch replacement plants even worse. Have been pleased with Marshalls plants in the past, these NOT up to standard. Not worth planting. I will be complaining.
Our products are all grown with the utmost care and to high standards of quality. We regularly check our nursery stock to determine exactly when they will be at the optimum time for despatch.
