Turnips are an easy, quick-maturing and versatile crop to grow! The tops can be used as tasty 'greens' that have a peppery taste and the roots, when harvested really young & tender, make a tasty addition to salads if grated or thinly sliced.

Sow mid March/April and in July for roots, until September for tops. To Protect against flea beetle cover crop with a net or fleece!
