Enormous crop this year, 120 pounds from one packet of seed! I agree with Steve Faulkner about the side shoots and blight but well worth the effort. Picked about 30 pounds green in October after frost warning and they almost all ripened in the kitchen.

Tomato Super Marmande Seeds (Semi Bush) 1020-2912

Semi-Bush outdoor variety, large juicy and well flavoured

Sow Indoors: March-April individually, in clean 3in (9cm) pots or module trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ½in (1cm) of sieved compost. Place in warmth 18°C (65°F) and keep moist at all times.

Plant Out: May-June Harden off and plant when frosts are over at 18in (45cm) apart in rows 30in (75cm) in direct harvest location.

Harvest: July-October

Liquid feed and water regularly as the tomatoes form. Tie stems to a support as they grow.
