We didn't have enough space last year to sow our sugar SUGAR SNAP PEAS - OREGON SUGAR POD, so they were left in the seed tin. I found the pkt this year, planted them and was amazed that they actually germinated. The plants have grown well and are producing heavily. We've been harvesting them for a few days now and they are absolutely delicious!

Have grown these for several years with good results. Need to be vigilant and keep picking them. I would say they are more like a mange tout than a sugar snap - pick them whilst the pods are still flat. I used to sow them in pots in polytunnel and then plant them out, but as long as the weather is fairly warm, there is no need and I just plant them straight into the ground. I would recommend successional sowings. They freeze very well.
