Strawberry Royal Sovereign -Plants

  • Catalogue Code 1060-5857
  • Pack Contents: 10 Bare Root Strawberry Plants

Less than 90p per plant that will produce you a carpet of fruiting stems producing strawberries with intense flavour; a heritage favourite.

Tasty carpet-forming variety that has withstood the tests of time; this traditional variety has proven a hit with our customer on account of its superb flavour. It is harvestable just in time for Wimbledon and summer parties.

Grow in pots or hanging baskets where you can pick the fruit at head-height. Alternatively, grow in raised beds or grow-bags where the soil will warm quicker for excellent root establishment and lots of flowering and fruiting stems.

Grow Royal Sovereign if you're looking for a strawberry with intense flavour. Royal Sovereign produces smaller Grade-A crowns than modern-bred varieties yet produces intense-flavour strawberries for years.

How you receive your plants

You receive our strawberry plants in an envelope or box containing plants that each have a plant-base attached to lots or roots. This is perfect for planting up now as the roots are itching to get established in the ground which support lots of strong fruiting stems in the growing season for delicious strawberries.

The roots are covered in a little compost wrapped in a polythene bag to keep the roots perfectly humid while transported from our nursery to your home.

Can't plant straight away?

You can keep your young plants in their plastic wrap over for as long as 3-5 days so long as you make sure the soil part around the roots is kept moist.

Keep your plants in a light, cool position like an unheated porch or greenhouse.

Look to planting in their permanent position within 5 days.
