Growing Calendar for Strawberry Plants - Christine x10
Delivery: Early October to Late June
The perfect early strawberry, this variety produces fruit as early in summer as May, if covered with a protective horticultural fleece in spring.
Supplied as 10 runners (young plants) will produce plants with large very bright orange-red fruit. It has an exceptionally fine sweet flavour and is one of the best early variety for disease resistance.
Young plants will overwinter well, putting down a strong root system, ready to grow next year and produce these lovely bright fruits from early summer.
In spring next year transplant to a hanging basket, container or grow bed adding some high-potassium plant food for a flower and fruit-boost.
Place straw under the strawberry leaves where possible to prevent fruit rotting on the soil and protect from birds using netting.
As above comment, the runners took seven days to arrive, so we're in a very poor and yellowed condition. Awaiting response from Marshalls. As the rest of the order arrived in two days and no complaints with their condition.
