The First Choice of Prize Winning Gardeners & Lovers of Real Food
A well known and popular variety as it is such a reliable cropper on all types of soil and under all sorts of conditions.
Provides plenty of medium-sized, light red fruits. More often than not, the first choice for jams and preserves.
Good for freezing too as it holds its shape better than most other varieties.

I bought and planted a dozen Cambridge Favourite plants in our South Yorkshire garden at the end of January. Lost one plant along the way--unsure why--but the rest are now producing enough berries that our household of two can have strawberries for dessert most days. These are very sweet and very strawberry-y, much nicer than shop-bought, and don''t appear to suffer any from being kept in the fridge a couple of days after picking. There are a LOT of healthy-looking runners to sift through, so next year''s crop seems assured too!
