Create an easy-care, fragrant container display with this mix of spring bulbs. The collection includes narcissus, tulips, crocus and muscari bulbs to give a long lasting display in pots, troughs and window boxes.
Our Fragrant Spring Cheer Container Collection includes a total of:
Narcissus Bridal Crown x 14 The clusters of creamy flowers are strongly scented and good for cutting
Tulip Oriental Beauty x 14 An elegant red tulip that doesn’t get too tall, ideal for a windy garden
Crocus Ruby Giant x 24 This unusual crocus has long lasting red-purple blooms
Muscari armeniacum AGM x 28 Commonly called grape hyacinths, muscari bulbs send up spires of brilliant blue flowers. This muscari variety has been given an Award of Garden Merit from the RHS as an excellent garden plant.
Plant bulbs in autumn into containers of good quality compost or bulb compost. Bulbs need free draining soil and most bulbs flower best in sunshine, so position the container somewhere sunny and sheltered for the best display.
Plant the tulip bulbs first, up to three times the depth of the bulb. Cover with compost and then plant the daffodil bulbs. When these are planted cover with more compost and plant a final layer of crocus and muscari bulbs. Add a final layer of compost and water the container to settle the soil.
