Bred in the UK to suit our growing conditions, Ottawa is a high yielding F1 disease resistant variety with dark green glossy round leaves and is ideal for use as a baby leaf.
It can be sown as early as February given some protection. Main sowing period Mid March to mid May and also during August.

I have re-ordered again for this year. 100% germination. I did 2 plantings, and it kept us going through till November. Delicious taste as young baby leaves, and as mature leaves too.
Disease resistant variety which can be used as young baby leaves or grow onto maturity.
Sow Outdoors: March-September, thinly, direct into the required harvest position, ½in (1cm) deep in rows 12in (30cm) apart. Keep soil moist at all times.
Grow On: If necessary thin seedlings to 4in (10cm) apart. Use thinning as baby leaf.
Harvest: April-October pick young leaves to encourage a steady supply.
Use fleece to protect crop from frost or cold wind.
