Growing Calendar for Shallot Sets - Eschalote Grise

Shallot Eschalote Grise sets are the first choice in shallots for top French chefs, often referred to as a Banana Shallot.
We have chosen an improved selection producing larger sets.
Each shallot set will produce between 15 and 20 intensely flavoured shallots!

That Eschalote Grise is classed as a "Banana Shallot". This term is often used by cooks to describe the long bulb varieties of onions and shallots. It is more of a cooking term than one used by gardeners.
Most looked ok - a couple were too soft. Have planted them and cannot really comment until I see the results of the harvest.
Some of the setts were mouldy, but a prompt refund was given.
