Shallot Bulbs

Shallots are now seen as an upmarket from Onions. They are just as easy to grow as Onions but instead of one large Onion, Shallots will cluster into several offsets (therefore giving you higher yields per bulb).

Plant the bulbs around six inches apart in rows one foot apart. Press the sets into the soil so that the tops are just peeking above the soil. Be careful not to damage the root system at the base of the bulb.
