Growing Calendar for Scented Garden Pinks Pink Eye x5
Delivery: Early May to Early June
Garden Pinks, also known as Dianthus, are mainstays of the cottage garden but have other uses too. They’re much loved for their tissue paper like flowers which are heavily scented and highly valued for their use as a cut flower. Garden Pink ‘Pink Eye’ is a wonderful variety of dianthus which will brighten up pots, beds and borders with their pink and white flowers and their scent, which will gently waft through your garden. Keep deadheading their flowers and they’ll keep blooming from May to August.
Perennial plants are the mainstay of the flower garden; many will flower all summer, becoming dormant in autumn to reappear in spring. Perennials tend to be non-fussy plants and are easy to look after - they just need the old stems cutting back in late autumn, which helps to promote new stems and vigorous growth the following spring, getting bigger and better every year!
