Sansevieria Cylindrica (Mother In Law’s Tongue)

  • Catalogue Code 4010-2002
  • Pack Contents: 1x 10.5cm Potted House Plant

Indestructible variety for the home! This plant originates from South Africa where they grow in harsh environments and can cope with lack of water with ease. This means you only need to water lightly once every couple of days for your plant to thrive.

Thick leathery grey green erect stems growing from the base look like pencils in a pencil pot and will grow easily in shade or light rooms. Try a couple in your bedroom where you can rest assured knowing that they naturally remove harmful particles in the air whilst you sleep.

As your mother in law’s tongue plant grows it removes harmful chemicals from the air and releases fresh oxygen for us to breath- an excellent and natural way to keep you and the family healthy in the home.

Keep plants in cool rooms and if given full light they will sometimes send out pink-budded white flowers for an extra dimension to these already impactful plants.

How your plants arrive to you

Supplied in a 10.5cm plastic pot with the plant being approximately 12-16in (30-40cm) in overall height. Your pot arrives to you surrounded by a plastic film which keeps your soil humid for an excellent root environment which is good news for your mother in law’s tongue plant while in transit from our nursery to your home.

You will receive your potted mother in law’s tongue plant in a cardboard box for extra protection so you can be sure your plant gets to you in the best condition it can be for your home.

Can’t plant straight away?

You can keep your plants with their plastic wrap for as long as 3-5 days so long as you make sure the root area is nice and humid and the roots feel moist.

Keep your plants in a light, cool position away from full sun like an unheated porch or greenhouse.

Look to planting in their permanent position within 5 days.
