The First Choice of Prize Winning Gardeners & Lovers of Real Food
My AccountWe cannot praise this Runner Bean variety highly enough, because it is faultless in all respects.
Most importantly, White Lady has the thickest, most succulent and tenderest pods we have ever tried!
It's a strong grower and a wonderfully heavy cropper which sets its crop easily whatever the weather.

I love your brassica plugs did so well straight into the ground super.
This is my first year with White Lady. My normal practise is to plant a white fowering variety with a red flowing variety to obtain best set regardless of weather conditions. This year was no different. I started by sowing in pots indoors for an early cropping. Length of germination about the same for both varieties but White Lady having about 10 -20% better germination success. Both types planted out around 3rd week in May. Come the beginning of July started picking White Lady. a full 2 weeks ahead of the red flowered variety. Cropping has been very heavy and beans flavour is excellent . Wife and self have been eatig beans at about evry meal since the beginning of August from 8FT double row and neighbors haven't done too badly either. Looking foreward to eating beans through to end of September provided high winds don't destroy rows. THe red flowering variety has produced but the White Lady completely swamps them. Don't think I'll be bothering with reds next year - White Lady only.
Crops very well over a long period. Very tasty flesh not at all stingy. Excellent for freezing. Best variety for all those I have grown over many years
