These plants were supplied bare root and with no green growth. Each plant had a substantial root system that would struggle to fit in anything less than a 5 litre pot. The canes on the plants were healthy and extended to about 18 cm. It took them about one week to get their first green shots and since then have grow vigorously. Within about 5 weeks they began "flowering" and after two months, the largest has produced full-sized, un-ripe fruit.
August is primarily about harvesting your crops, but there are still some vegetables that can be sown and planted out!
