Rovada is an outstanding redcurrant bush. Mine is now several years old and produces a highly prolific crop. The long strings of bright red berries look beautiful with summer deserts, but best of all they make wonderful jam when mixed 50/50 with blackcurrants. The fruits also freeze well and look stunning taken out of the freezer to top ice-cream because they become frosted in the warmth of the room.... I grow more than one bush now!
August is primarily about harvesting your crops, but there are still some vegetables that can be sown and planted out!
