Pepper Padron Seeds

  • Catalogue Code 1020-2185

Originally introduced from South America, this Spanish 'Tapas' pepper, produces a mass of small conical fruits, with a long curled pedicle. The pepper should be consumed at the green stage.

Sow under glass in March to April for crops in the greenhouse or on a warm sunny terrace from July to October.

Play Spanish Roulette

Every batch of 10 or so peppers contains a hot one, and we mean really piquant! Because it is impossible to distinguish the hot pepper from the milder pods, eating a portion of Padrón peppers is popularly linked to the Russian Roulette.

That apart, a few Padrón will count as one of your ‘5 a day', containing vitamins A, B1, B2, C and D, calcium and iron.
