I grew these last year and I am still harvesting the crop. Excellent flavour and a good size root.
Long white tapering roots.
Sow Indoors:
Sow Outdoors: February-May in direct harvest location at ½ in (1cm) deep In rows 12in (30cm) apart. Thin out to 6in (15cm) apart.
Plant Out: Parsnips seldom transplant well.
Harvest: October-March
Grow in well drained soil.
August is primarily about harvesting your crops, but there are still some vegetables that can be sown and planted out!
