Both myself and my Dad tried these this year and they produced a decent crop of well sized onions. Both sets were harvested and dried out in the sun and stored as we have always stored onions, in a cools dry place out of the sun. Almost every single onion developed mildew and mould of various forms and started rotting from the outer skins inwards. Most were able to be used if you cut away several layers and a large chunk of the top and bottom but they had to be used quickly. Quite a few were simply destroyed and ended up as compost! Not impressed. Two separate sets in two different locations suffering the same fate.
