Lettuce Amaze is an improved red gem lettuce with sparkling red and green tender leafs. Amaze produces a really good crop in just a few weeks which is why it is named as it is. Suitable for growing in a vegetable patch or in containers.

The uniform, maroon red leaves have a soft buttery texture and a good lettuce taste. Amaze shows resistance to mildew which means that even in sporadic damp or dry conditions (which can be the case in many a British summer) your lettuce will put up a good fight against troublesome mildew.

With Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit you can be sure of a lettuce that performs well as a home grown variety. We recommend you plant around 20-30cm (10-12in) apart to give you appropriate space for the heads to develop.
