Wow! These little lettuce are so sweet. There is an amazing amount of seeds in the packet and I grew enough to last myself and my next door neighbours all summer. I found them so simple to grow and very little problem with pests. Good advice would be to start them off in a decent window propagator and then enjoy.
Outstanding taste
Sow Indoors: March-May thinly ½in (1cm) deep in clean trays or modules of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.
Sow Outdoors: May-August thinly ½in (1cm) deep in direct harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.
Thin Out: 9in (23cm) apart, use thinnings as baby leaf.
Plant Out: May-June into the required harvest position 9in (23cm) apart with 9in (23cm) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.
Harvest: June-October when centres feel firm.
