Excellent crop which never went to seed despite little rain for a week ,while on holiday. Will use again next year.
I tried the all year round butterhead this summer and I must that I was very pleased with the results. this lettuce is very succulent and crunchy too. The children absolutely loved it. I shall keep planting them every year.

Succulent and sweet, sow little and often
Sow Indoors: March-April
Sow Outdoors: March-September thinly ½in (1cm) deep in a seed bed or clean module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.
Thin Out: 12in (30cm) use thinnings as baby leaf
Plant Out: May-June into the required harvest position 12in (30cm) apart with 12in (30cm) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.
Harvest: January-December when cetres start to firm up.
