Growing Calendar for Leek Seeds - Zermatt (baby leek)
Delivery: 5-7 Working Days
Early maturing variety in great demand as a baby leek, it has a long shank with erect leaves and is also an excellent leek when left to mature.
Harvest from mid-August to November it also has some rust resistance.
Use as baby Leek or leave to mature.
Sow Indoors: January-March under glass.
Sow Outdoors: March-April thinly into pre watered soil ½in (1cm) deep in rows 6in (15cm) apart in seed bed. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: May transplant when 6in (15cm) high into holes 4in (10cm) deep fill with water.Only when plants are well establised start blanching by earthing up.
Liquid feed during summer.
