I am a long standing customer and have never been disappointed. The oarsman leeks are superb with lush growth and a reliable heavy crop. They are the best leeks that I have ever grown in nearly 50 years of vegetable growing and definitely value for money.
Early pure white long stems.
Sow Indoors: January-February under glass.
Sow Outdoors: March-April thinly into pre watered soil ½in (1cm) deep in rows 6in (15cm) apart in seed bed. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: April transplant when 8in (20cm) high into holes 6in (15cm) deep fill with water.Only when plants are well establised start blanching by earthing up.
Harvest: November-March.
Liquid feed during summer.
