Amazingly easy to grow, quick cropping, versatile and very tasty. Despite all that however, for me, the best thing by far about growing kohl rabi is that they're really quite beautiful to look at! I have a back injury and have to plant everything at waist-height or above so I can watch germination in more detail than I otherwise might, and as the kohl rabi develop it looks like a little collection of purple and green aliens have alighted on my raised bed for a chat!
