Growing Calendar for Kestrel Seed Potatoes
Delivery: Early January to Late April
Kestrel seed potatoes produce smooth skinned tubers with purple eyes, and winner of many prizes at exhibition.
Kestrel has an old fashioned flavour, it makes good chips and roasts well because the soft flesh does not absorb much fat.
Consistently shows good resistance to slugs and blackleg. Many Second Earlies are delicious as new potatoes - lift some a little sooner if your First Earlies have run out.
Second early for July lifting.
Good quality tubers so the rest is down to me (and mother nature)
Arrived in great condition and of good size tubers. Being blight and slug resitant I manage to get a good crop even in heavy soil on my allotment. Make the best chips and a good all rounder.
Obviously not yet grown them but everything looks good so far
