An excellent and different variety of kale. High yeilding, sturdy plants. Delicious flavour. Looks great on the allotment among the 'greens' Very easy to grow and manage. Perfect with any meal or added to stews, curries etc to add extra body and texture to the meal without adding caloies! Freezes well too.
Delicious winter vegetable, rich purple colour.
Sow Indoors: April-May sow in a pre watered seed bed ½in (1cm) deep.
Sow Outdoors: June-July Transplant when 5in (12cm) high into pre watered soil and firm in. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: June-July in rows 18in (45cm) apart and 18in (45cm) between plants.
Harvest: November-April Start picking young leaves from the centre of the plant to encourage side shoots.
Keep feeding plants to prolong shooting.
