Kale

Kale is delicious and decorative with its puckered leaves and distinctive colours. As well as looking good Kale is a very nutritious vegetable; it's a great source of iron and vitamins A, C and E.  Kale can be relied on to crop when most other edible plants have given up and the plants will stand on the plot for a long time in winter.

Cooking Kale is simple; either boil as you would cabbage or to keep more of the flavour and goodness try stir-frying.
