My AccountThis delicious new vegetable is a cross between Broccoli and Kailaan (Chinese Broccoli).
KaiBroc produces sweet, tender stems with an edible floret. 50-60 days to maturity and once the main head is cut it quickly produces many side-shoots to crop over a long period.
Feed regularly to produce more shoots. Can be sown in spring or late summer.

I've never tried to grow broccoli before as I thought they were difficult. This couldn't be easier. Once you pick the first head it resprouts lots of little ones which have kept us in stir frys for weeks. You do need a lot of plants to be able to pick a good crop and I would grow more next year. Delicious though and well worth a go.
Sweet tender stems with edible floret!

August is primarily about harvesting your crops, but there are still some vegetables that can be sown and planted out!
