Jerusalem Artichoke - Common

Common Jerusalem Artichoke are knobbly and irregular in shape with pale purply-brown skin. Scrub and boil or steam until tender, then peel.

Jerusalem Artichokes belong to the Sunflower family and can be grown as an informal summer screen, before harvesting the hardy roots in the winter.

Plant 4in/10cm deep and 12in/30cm apart. Lift as required during the winter.
