This is one of the fastest growing green manures, producing lots of material to improve soil texture and moisture retention.
It will succeed on most soil types.
Chop with a spade and dig in before flowering or allow the frost to kill it.
Sow April – September.
we used this as we didnlt have easy access to traditional maure, and had use our plot for 3 seasons without putting anyhting back in. It shot up, and dug in pretty easily. I think we'll net it off next time as the birds did get away with some after sowing.
