Green Manure - Phacelia Seeds

  • Catalogue Code 1020-2971

Good foliage cover for weed suppression.

For maximum effect it should be cut down before the flowers open, but they are extremely attractive to many beneficial insects, especially bees so can be a good idea to leave a few to flower.

Can be over-wintered in milder areas.

This was very easy to grow from a September sowing. I dug most of it in before flowering but left some for the bees. It improved the soil structure, was really pretty, and a very useful plant.
