The First Choice of Prize Winning Gardeners & Lovers of Real Food
Lime is an important source of calcium for plants and ensures strong growth and fruit and leaf quality.
If your soil pH is less than 6.0, an application of Garden Lime will improve nutrient uptake particularly phosphorous, strengthening plant roots and stems.
Garden Lime also contains high levels of magnesium, which assists disease resistance producing rich, healthy leaves. It also breaks down heavy clay soils improving structure and quality.
Westland Garden Lime is a granular product that breaks down rapidly to give fine neutralising particles, providing immediate improvement to your plants and soil through increased nutrient availability.
Uses: Garden Lime is ideal for use on vegetable patches, flower borders, around trees, shrubs, hedges and roses.
The product can also be used on lawns to improve grass growth and colour. Application Rate: Apply at recommended rates.
Apply: Garden Lime can be applied throughout the year but it is best applied in the autumn before the first frosts. For normal soils use every third year. Acidic soil may need an annual application.
Nutrient Content: Calcium Oxide 46% Magnesium Oxide 15%. Caution: Use at recommended rates. Increasing the dosage may result in damage to your plants. Do not apply near ericaceous or lime hating plants.
Store in a dry place away from children, pets and foodstuffs. Avoid using on windy days. Apply evenly between plants, without touching plant stems. Wear gloves when handling.
