5 tasty varieties grafted onto one tree – Perfect for a small garden!
If you have limited space for growing multiple fruit trees, but would love to have a wide range of delicious varieties to enjoy, then the Family Pear Tree is just for you. Each carefully selected variety has been grafted onto a single stem and chosen especially by the grower for first choice picking all from one tree. This self-fertile variety comes in a 5Ltr pot with five mouth-watering varieties grafted onto it, which also helps pollination for the rest of your plants. On this Family Pear Tree, you will receive Bonne Louise, Conference, Beurre Hardy, Doyenne du comice & Gieser Wildeman. Why have just one variety when you can have five in the same space.
Bonne Louise – A RHS AGM old French pear variety with a bi-coloured appearance and one of the most attractive blossoms on a pear tree we’ve seen. Eaten fresh, it holds a sweet flesh that melts in the mouth.
Conference – A RHS AGM variety which is known to be the country's favourite pear. Juicy and sweet enough to be eaten fresh but this heavy cropping variety also makes a great dessert pear too.
Beurre Hardy – One of the best tasting French pears with a fragrantly scented flesh which is delicate and full of juice. This variety makes a perfect dessert pear.
Doyenne du comice – A RHS AGM variety which is arguably the best flavoured pear available. This variety is sweet, juice and very aromatic.
Gieser Wildeman – An unusual pear that has a pink-red flesh and a pear drop flavour. Perfect for stewing or poaching and is transformed into a culinary delight when cooked.

I have two concerns: 1. One of the grafted sections looks very small. 2. Some of the growing tips have been pruned off. I will only know how good this tree is in the Spring, when I see how it grows!
Growing pears is very similar in a lot of ways to growing apples- but there are some marked differences that are worth noting.
