French Bean 'Primel' delivers delicious, early crops of succulent French Beans. Cropping a week earlier than Delinel, Primel is a great dwarf french bean to choose.
The delicious stringless pods have excellent flavour and a crisp texture and should be picked when young to enjoy at their very best. Primel is also a great variety for freezing.
Sow small amounts of seed regularly and pick pods frequently to prolong the harvesting period.

SOW INDOORS - April-May, individually in clean pots or modules of compost 2in (5cm) deep. Water well. Keep warm.
SOW OUTDOORS - May-June, direct into the required harvest position, 2in (5cm) deep, 4in (10cm) apart in rows 12in (30cm) apart. Keep soil moist at all times.
PLANT OUT - Indoor raised crops May-June 6in (15cm) apart after the risk of frost has passed in rows 12in (30cm) apart.
TIP - Water generously. Pick young beans regularly for best flavour.
