  • Catalogue Code 5140-5114
  • Pack Contents: 1x 3Ltr Shrub

Daphne odora ‘Aureomarginata’ is a heavily scented evergreen shrub with powder pink flowers that open around the festive period and fill your garden full of gloriously sweet fragrance. 'Aureomarginata' is a hardy shrub with a uniformly dense habit of striking smooth, yellow edged deep green leaves. A real collectors item and much sought after by shrub connoisseurs, making for a fashionable and sophisticated addition to most borders. Its form and habit also makes it perfect for containers, on the patio or just outside your door where the scent can be appreciated the most.

Dig a hole large and deep enough to take the plant’s root ball.

Gently tap the plant out of its pot without disturbing the soil around the roots.

Position the plant at the bottom of the hole so the plant’s crown is level with the surface and sits at the same depth as it was in the pot; make sure the roots are in direct contact with the soil.

Backfill with the excavated soil and firm in gently. Water to settle the soil around the roots.

Shrubs are easy-care plants getting better every year with the minimum of fuss.

Watering: Water regularly in the first few weeks after planting and then make sure the plants are kept moist in dry spell; but don’t overwater .Plants will send their roots down in search of moisture as they grow.

Feeding:  Give shrubs a boost with a handful of granular feed hoed into the soil in spring.

Pruning:   Most evergreens need minimum pruning.  Prune Daphne odora ‘Aureomarginata’ lightly after flowering to maintain the shrub’s shape if necessary, but keep pruning to a minimum to avoid the risk of dieback.
