Growing Calendar for Courgette Triple Pack x3 plants
Delivery: Mid May to Late May
Tuscany: Tuscany produces high yields of very dark, straight fruits which are held on erect, spineless plants. It is well suited to our cooler climate and will even grow well in the North. An excellent performer, it has very good mildew resistance. Despatched late May for harvesting from July onwards. Height 60cm/2ft
Latino: An erect and compact plant with very distinctive ribbed fruit which looks as if someone has carefully peeled off a fine strip of skin, it also happens to have great flavour. The pronounced ribbing makes it look like little cog wheels when served cut into rounds.
Lemona: A really prolific cropper! The yellow, cylindrical fruit it produces are 20cm long. The plant has very few leaf and stem spines making it easier to pick for the home gardener. It’s definitely one of the best yellow varieties and adds wonderful vibrancy to any meal you use it in.
Litte underwhelmed by the courgettes when they arrived. They were very little. However they survived transit and are about to go outside. Looking good.
Courgette pack arrived (late May rather than mid-May as promised) in good condition. All three plants are now expanding in five inch pots in the greenhouse prior to planting out. Had this triple pack last year and the varieties are heavy cropping, delicious and nice varieties. Had to dose them with epsom salts but they were excellent value.
