This remains my favourite courgette. Delicious fried in a bit of oil/butter. Bit too watery for ratatouille. Can be persuaded to crop very early. Seems very disease resistant.

Have grown these for 3 years now and love them. Beautiful creamy texture and lovely flavour. could not get them locally last year so had to order online - well worth it! They flourished throught last year's bad summer. My other varieties suffered greatly but not these. Lots of courgettes from every plant so gave some away and had them at most meals (except breakfast) I just wish that courgettes would freeze successfully. PS, fabulous thinly sliced raw in a salad.

Lebanese type with pale skin.

Sow Indoors: April-May ½in (1cm) deep in individual module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times 18oC (65oF)

Sow Outdoors: May-June ½in (1cm) deep direct in harvest location or in clean module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.

Plant Out: June. Harden off young plants before planting out into the required harvest position 3ft (90cm) apart when risk of frost has passed.

Harvest: August-October.

Pick regularly when fruit is 5in (12cm).
