Coreopsis Early Sunrise

First Year Flowering Perennials Plants

Coreopsis Early Sunrise are a brilliant yellow semi double flower on neatly rounded plants with deep green foliage. They have an exceptionally long flowering season making them indispensable for a natural or cottage style border. It is well suited to prairie-style planting among grasses too.

These flowers are delivered to you as young plants that are around 12cm (5in) from root to tip.

Plants at this stage are at the perfect stage of development to grow and flower really fast once planted.

If you receive your plants before April pot up into larger pots and plant out into containers or beds from April onwards.

On a pleasant and dry spring or summer day plant out into soil and water well. As the plants start to flower add a high potassium fertiliser to give your flowers a real boost.

  • Growing PerennialsGrowing Perennials

Perennial plants are the mainstay of the flower garden; many will flower all summer, becoming dormant in autumn to reappear in spring. Perennials tend to be non-fussy plants and are easy to look after - they just need the old stems cutting back in late autumn, which helps to promote new stems and vigorous growth the following spring, getting bigger and better every year!
