Growing Calendar for Chilli Pepper Seeds - Hot Mexican
Delivery: 5-7 Working Days
Chilli Pepper 'Hot Mexican' has a bushy compact habit and produces thin 2in/5cm very spicy hot chillies.
Dry them for a year-long supply of your own hot chillies.
Hot, Hot, Hot!.
Sow Indoors: February-April thinly, in clean trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ¼in (½cm) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth 15-20°C (60-70°F) and keep moist at all times.
Prick Out: When large enough to handle, transplant into 3½in (7cm) pots to establish.
Grow On: Harden off for 2-3 weeks before planting out into individual pots or growing bags. Do not place outside until all risk of frost has passed.
Grow in conservatory, greenhouse or sunny sheltered patio.
Feed regularly to increase flowering and fruiting.
Can be dried
How can I rate seeds until I have germinated, grown and eaten the fruit?
Still waiting for germination so can't comment other than a good price
Poor germination when compared to cheaper seeds bought last year. Only three have come up out of about 10 planted.
