Not the easiest things in the world to grow. Once past seedling stage, they take off. Flowers occur when temperatures are around 18c, so ideal on the window sill, where i grew mine. Produced a good crop (July) and then flowered again to produce a second (November). Used all of them in Chilli and Sauces. Will be growing again this year.
Hot, Hot, Hot!.
Sow Indoors: February-April thinly, in clean trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ¼in (½cm) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth 15-20°C (60-70°F) and keep moist at all times.
Prick Out: When large enough to handle, transplant into 3½in (7cm) pots to establish.
Grow On: Harden off for 2-3 weeks before planting out into individual pots or growing bags. Do not place outside until all risk of frost has passed.
Harvest: August-October
Grow in conservatory, greenhouse or sunny sheltered patio.
Feed regularly to increase flowering and fruiting.
